Why TrueWellness
Our current approach to living, political structures, systemic financial incentives, and cultural traditions have evolved to produce unhealthy lifestyles across America, including here at home in the greater Chippewa Valley.
Our current way of life has built-in structural barriers that make healthy lifestyle choices difficult to implement and sustain. As a result, Americans are crunched for time, stressed out, lonely, stricken with chronic disease, overweight and suffering from the highest obesity rates in the world. And for the first time in history, Americans are living shorter lifespans.
We need a new, mutually beneficial vision for healthy living across America. One that brings the diverse perspectives of individuals, organizations, and communities together to create supportive new societal norms and community structures.
This vision must be detailed and compelling, making it easier for American citizens to choose healthy lifestyle habits and sustain them in the flow of life. We need measurable outcomes around whole-person health and wellness, including physical health, mental wellbeing, social support networks, overall happiness, and a spiritual approach to purposeful living. Such measurable outcomes allow us to share and celebrate the progress made.
We believe that the citizens of the greater Chippewa Valley possess the character, talent, and resources to lead the country in a “grass roots” health and wellness renaissance. Let’s make the healthy choice the easy choice. The journey has started… It’s time to join the movement and find True Wellness!
Live a long, healthy, happy, and fulfilling life.
Eat right, move more, sleep well, be safe, laugh often, live with purpose!

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
— Margaret Mead
